ELISA stands for Enzyme-Linked ImmunoSorbent Assay and is a biochemical reaction based technique used to detect antibodies or antigens.

ELISAs are quick, simple tests easy to carry out and have been designed to rapidly handle large numbers of samples in parallel.

ELISAs are among the most sensitive immunoassays available. The detection range for the test is between 0.01 ng and 0.1 ng. The sensitivity is dependent upon the characteristics of the interactions between the antibody & antigen.
